Also, all of them come in colors that compliment nature and make for great gifts for family and friends. This No/No Cardinal wild bird feeder features a bright red color and lends a fairly large feeding area for birds. It showcases a collapsible design, patented features with the highest quality and attracts both clinging and perching birds.
Let’s look at some pros and cons for the No/No Red Cardinal Bird Feeder c00322
Dimensions: 11.50 x 11.50 x 6.00. It holds a good quantity of seed, between 2-3 pounds of seed. Because of the all-metal design and construction, the red Cardinal bird feeder is heavier than most other bird feeders. This also ensures that the construction is pretty strong and solid.
Feeder design: This is a hopper bird feeder. It has a cymbal-like roof, which is designed to protect from poor weather and rain. The basket-like shape of the feeder consists of mesh wire which tapers outward and ends in a broad circular base with a tray and perch for feeding. There are some small holes at the bottom so that rain can drain out as well. The mesh wire provides a generous feeding area for all kinds of birds, and the perch is wide enough to accommodate more that 5-6 birds. You can have 10-15 birds feeding at the same time on this feeder. Within a few days, my No/ No Wild Bird feeder had attracted a variety of birds including Cardinals, Chickadees, Tufted Titmice, Nuthatches as well as Common Grackles, who I chase away whenever I see them.
Simple to use: It is designed especially for Black Oil Sunflower seeds. The design makes it extremely simple to use. The perch also catches seed in the perch/trough, so there isn’t so much seed spillage. It has an easy to open lid for filling, and the filling hole is wide, so it’s easy to fill without spillage.
Cleaning and Assembly: As mentioned in the description, “it never needs cleaning.” No matter how the birds land on this feeder, the feed stays clean! That’s a big deal if one loves the birds and wants to prevent the spread of deadly salmonella through soiled food. When not using the No/No Feeder, it folds virtually flat to store easily; and when you want to use it, just hold it upright by its large handle, and it immediately unfolds. You can even wash it in the dishwasher if you wish.

Heavyweight: Although this No/No bird feeder is a good size, it is heavy and with the addition of seed becomes extremely heavy. A small bird feeder crook won’t do the job with this feeder. The one I had bought originally, nearly bent in half with the weight of the feeder. I suggest you install a heavy pole on which to place your feeder. Also, it is wise not to keep the feeder close to any windows, since a strong wind could cause it knock into the window.
Seed mixes: When the feeder gets low I’ve noticed that the seeds don’t fall out onto the tray as they need the weight of a full load of seeds to push them out. The only way it works is for me to walk out every couple hours and give it a few shakes, so some seed falls out onto the platform. Also, as I mentioned earlier, this No/No Feeder is designed for Black Oil Sunflower seeds. I did try to use other seeds including Safflower, other sunflower varieties, and some mixes, but the holes simply aren’t big enough for the birds to get these out. If you want this feeder to work, I suggest you use black oil you will get a lot of birds at your feeder.
Colour of the bird: I’ve found the red to be too bright, and I can’t see the birds very clearly as they blend into the red, especially the Cardinals, who have red tails. However, it does add a nice touch to the surroundings.
Squirrels: This no/no bird feeder does not provide great protection from squirrels and raccoons. They had managed to knock over my feeder more than once before I got the pole. The good thing is that they can’t get much seed out because the holes are so small.
